Infertility Diet

It’s the beginning of a new year and many of us have made resolutions for a better diet. I say that as my bag of chips sits next to my computer … oh well. But seriously, I’ve made some dietary changes and I’ve noticed a difference in the way I feel. For example, I know when I’ve had too much sugar because I am sluggish and very tired at night. I try to make pasta that is made from rice instead of flour. I’ve noticed an increase in my energy levels because of this. I don’t drink soda, such as Coke, and that’s a good thing because the carbonation is so bad for your body.
My mom implemented one change in her diet – she stopped eating white flour and minimizes her wheat flour. She has lost weight and at least 2 inches in just one month. She didn’t make any other diet or exercise changes, just by minimizing or removing flour from her diet she has lost weight and feels better.
When we struggle with an illness or disease changes to our diet are sometimes necessary. Diet can cause many problems, including infertility and risk of premature birth. Please know that I don’t believe diet is the cure-all for all infertility issues or prematurity. There are medical conditions that may cause infertility that are not associated with diet. However, many articles state obesity leads to medical problems, including infertility.
A friend of mine sent me an article that gives tips on what foods to eat and more natural medical alternatives to improve your chances for conceiving a baby. NOTE: There are a few sentences that are not written infertile friendly and might rub you the wrong way (at least one in the first paragraph and the very last sentence) although I don’t think this was the intent of the author. I thought there was enough valuable information that can help you with your infertility diet and/or your new years resolution that it warranted my sharing it with you.

I just bought ‘the infertility cure’ and so far so good. All about the diet-which is pretty much good health diet for life in general anyways.
Glad to find this site. Thanks! I can definitely tell when I have caffiene these days-it acts up my endo and other inflammatory responses. So, I know even the smallest changes can make a big impact sometimes! I need to be better about my sugar and bread intake!
