This Saturday we’ll be putting on our walking shoes and joining thousands of others for the March for Babies event in downtown Phoenix, AZ. I’ll be setting up the Family Team Tent at 5:30 a.m. - a little early for me! I think I’ll be grabbing a full-caffeinated coffee Saturday morning (I generally don’t drink coffee).
Two times in the past two weeks Kaley, Ashley and I have been on Ch. 12 News promoting the March for Babies event. My girls feel like movie stars. Yesterday, Pete, the Ch. 12 News cameraman followed them around in their classroom at Sunrise Preschool in Ahwatukee. The other kids were totally fascinated and wondered what in the heck the man with the camera was doing. Although my girls are beautiful (yes, I’m biased) their new found fame is only because they were born too soon. I’ll always remember their premature births and their 7 weeks in the NICU. But as my girls get older those memories become less prominent. It’s something I’ll carry with me forever for that experience has changed me in ways I never would have imagined.
If you’re up for a viewing, check out the short clip on Ch. 12 News.
Whether you’re walking in Phoenix or another location over the next few months, thanks for doing your part for all babies!
