Famous in Arizona

Well, maybe only at Big 5 Sporting Goods stores. Today a friend of mine from the March of Dimes will be presenting to the Big 5 Sporting Goods stores some reasons they should raise funds for the March for Babies event coming up in April in Phoenix, AZ. She’ll be taking a poster with pictures of my girls and short bits of their story. I’ve attempted to show the poster here, hopefully you can see it. If not, below is the copy:
“Kaley and Ashley Damron were born at 30 weeks gestation–10 weeks to early. Each weighing just a bit over 2 1/2 lbs, the two spent 7 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), fighting to survive.
At 5 weeks, Kaley has a life saving surgery to remove damage to her intestine. She weighed only 4 1/2 lbs. Her second surgery to reverse her colostomy: 6 months, 10 lbs.”
“Kaley and Ashley have developmentally caught up to their peers. Besides pictures, stories and a good size scar across Kaley’s stomach, you would never know of the struggles they had experienced the first months of their lives.
Thanks to the medical advances funded by the March of Dimes, little Kaley and Ashley were able to survive the trauma of their birth and now have the chance to live happy and healthy lives.”
Thank you Big 5 Sporting Goods for making a difference for babies! We are raising money too, if you’d love to help the March of Dimes, please visit my Team Page to make a donation. Thanks!
