Last week I read and article that found a correlation between sperm and intelligence. According to the article smart men have good sperm. So I guess that means dumb me have poor sperm. I have to disagree with the article. My husband is one of the smartest people I know. At the young age of 36 he is a partner in a National Accounting firm. Often I feel stupid around him, but I have to remind myself I have more common sense than he doees, smile.
After reading the article one of my thoughts was - who the heck had the idea to correlate sperm to intelligence. Is this something that adds value to the human race? Truly the money and time they spent in this study could have been used to study something much more useful. Maybe, what causes varicoceles (a collection of vericose veins in the scrotum) in men…just a thought.
Here’s the article in case your interested: BBC News, Intelligent ‘have better sperm.’

All I can say is - wth? My dh is also one of the smartest guys I know, certainly smarter than me. Isn’t that a nice nail to throw in the coffin of our self-worth on top of whatever failings we feel already?
I agree with you on the varicoceles, that was our male factor. I know my dh would have been more interested in non-surgical treatments. He flat out would not do surgery.
