Immediate Action Needed in Oklahoma and Arizona
Posted on March 4, 2010
Below is a RESOLVE alert regarding OK:
On Thursday, February 25, the Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a bill — House Bill 3077 – that will have the effect of eliminating egg donor treatment in Oklahoma – a treatment that has helped countless couples over the past 20+ years. The bill would outlaw all compensation and reimbursement to women who donate eggs for other couples’ fertility treatment, and we know that means essentially the end of that treatment in Oklahoma. The House voted overwhelmingly for the bill and it proceeds now to the Senate. It could be voted on any day now.
We need your help TODAY! Tell your Senator that you, your friends, and family OPPOSE HB 3077. Please click on the link below to send a letter immediately to your Oklahoma state Senator. Our experience has shown that sending opposition letters can slow down a bill and prevent it from being voted on.
Please let lawmakers know that we will not let them interfere with the care of infertility patients in Oklahoma. Egg donor treatment is the standard of care for infertility patients who have survived cancer or who have premature ovarian failure. Don’t take away their hope for a family!

Kelly,
I find it truly disturbing that state after state is introducing legislation that infringes on infertility patients’ rights.
If legislators succeed in taking away infertility patients’ rights to treatment (in ANY state), what is to stop them from targeting other patient populations next?
This is an affront to patients everywhere because it sets the precedent for medical treatment options to be taken away from any and all people.

Jeanne, I posted another blog today about legislation in Kansas. It is so scary. I am thankful I already have my children because the politicians are doing everything in their power to take the rights to pursue fertility treatments away from those of us who stuffer from infertility.
